Brian C. Weed

I am a New Mexico based Director of Photography and IATSE Local 600 Camera Operator. I am also an FAA Certified Drone Pilot and SCUBA diver.

Originally from southeast Alabama, I spent several years traveling, studying, and working around the country and abroad before eventually landing in Los Angeles, California, where I was based for 11 years and honed my skills in camera operating. I now reside in Santa Fe, New Mexico, shooting locally in northern New Mexico and the greater Southwest, as well as having the experience and availability to travel abroad to locations around the world.

My camera work spans adventure documentary, feature films, reality, and recreation projects. The projects I have been a part of have taken me to over 100 countries, from 18,000ft above sea level to 1,000ft underground, and at temperatures ranging from 126F to -50F. I have developed my skill to specialize in a natural, vérité style of visual storytelling that captures the immediacy and visceral nature of dynamic stories.
